Description

Product Overview

The everydrop® Filter 1 (model EDR1RXD1) is OEM-sanctioned for use in Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, JennAir, Amana, and Kenmore refrigerators. It reduces lead and a broad spectrum of contaminants, delivering cleaner, fresher water. Recommended replacement: every 6 months or 200 gallons. Replaces W10295370A.

Upgrade your refrigerator’s performance with the Original OEM Everydrop Filter 1, the only replacement officially certified by Whirlpool for their top-freezer, bottom-freezer, and side-by-side refrigerators. Unlike generic knock-offs, this filter utilizes advanced Triple Filtration Technology to solve common water quality issues. Designed for a leak-free fit, this “Purple Cap” cartridge is the direct factory replacement for discontinued part numbers W10295370A and P4RFWB, as well as Kenmore 9081

How It Works

Water flows through a carbon-based media that mechanically removes particulates and chemically captures contaminants like lead and benzene, providing clean, safe drinking water and ice.

Installation Instructions

  • Locate the filter housing in the upper right-hand corner of your refrigerator ceiling or the bottom base grille, depending on your Whirlpool, Maytag, or KitchenAid model.

  • Lift the compartment door upward to automatically release the old cartridge, then pull the used water filter straight out to discard it.

  • Remove the purple protective cap from the new unit, ensuring the black rubber O-rings remain correctly seated on the nozzles to prevent future leaks.

  • Align the arrow on the label pointing upward and gently slide the EDR1RXD1 replacement into the slot; it should glide smoothly without force.

  • Push the filter inward until the door begins to close, then press the door firmly until it snaps shut to strictly lock the watertight seal.

  • Flush the water dispenser for 4 gallons (approx. 5 minutes) to purge trapped air and remove loose carbon fines that cause cloudy water.

  • Reset the filter status light on your control panel by holding the “Water Filter” or “Reset” button for 3 seconds to restart your 6-month maintenance cycle.
